FIRE RETARDANT CONCENTRATE INTERACT 91-0456
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: A 50/50 blend of chlorine/ bromine based concentrate to fire retard high impact polystyrene. CARRIER RESIN: A specially impact modified, easily dispersable, polystyrene designed to impart fire retardancy to high impact polystyrene while maintaining ductility normally lost by the addition of fire retardant chemistries. COLOR: Natural off-white SPECIFIC GRAVITY: 1.29 CHEMISTRY: Chlorine and organic bromine with antimony trioxide LET DOWN RATIO: At 40% (67 parts per 100 resin) INTERACT 91-0456 in HIPS the fire retardancy will be UL94 V-0 at a sheet (part) thickness of 0.0625 inches and greater. This may vary somewhat depending on the carrier resin and the processing equipment in use. We recommend that 40% be used as a starting point to establish the exact let down ratio for your product. PELLET: Nominal 1/8" X 1/8" cylindrical or spherical PACKAGING: Gaylord boxes lined with polyethylene. Other packaging is available at a slight additional charge.
