to announce its new FaralloyÒ
PE 401 and PE 405 LLDPE Flame Retardant Compounds. They are being used in
Blow Molding, Extrusion and Rotational molding. Faralloy PE 405 is a low cost UL
recognized compound with a UL 94V-0 rating at 1/4" thickness. PE 401
has a Melt Index of 4.5 and can be used in a wide variety of consumer and
electrical applications.
Faralloy PE 401 passes the more
stringent UL 94-5VA rating at 1/8" thickness. While more expensive
than other flame retardant compounds on the market, users can reduce the wall
thickness and still meet UL Flammability requirements. This allows
substantial reductions in material use and cycle time in many
applications. PE 405 has a Melt index of 4.5
